Incorporated in 1895, the city of Belmont, NC got its origins from a colonial-era fort in the area. Belmont eventually became a railroad town as the railway came to the area in the 1870s to support the growing textile industry.
Located west of Charlotte, NC and nestled between the Catawba and South Fork Rivers, modern day Belmont offers its 8,700 residents a charming historic downtown, affordable single family homes, and a small town quality of life with the amenities of Charlotte, NC close by.
