Known as "the gateway to Union County", the town of Stallings found its beginnings with the opening of a country store by Matthew Stallings in 1912 in the area. The introduction of a saw mill by another early resident along with farming gave Stallings its economic roots.
Stallings maintained it's standing as a cotton trading post and farming community until the construction of US Highway 74 in the 1950s brought a new influx of growth to the Stallings area.
Growth in the area has continued, and modern day Stallings boasts 8,500 residents and over 400 businesses along with plenty of affordable housing options. Stallings' location also offers a convenient commute to Charlotte via I-485 or Highway 74.
Community offerings include an active parks and recreation department, a Family Night in the Park Festival the first week of August and concerts in the park during the autumn months.
New growth continues in Stallings with the development of additional subdivisions, business parks and shopping centers.
New growth, old fashioned small town charm and great residents make Stallings an attractive place to call home!
